Medical Diagnostic Laboratories, L.L.C. (MDL) is a CLIA certified clinical laboratory with multiple state licensing that specializes in state of the art, automated DNA based molecular analysis of a variety of chronic and infectious illnesses with viral, microbial, or environmental etiology. MDL specializes and performs Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) with a larger menu of testing available in the field of infectious disease. Our Research and Development department at MDL is comprised of experts in the fields of Molecular Biology, Molecular Virology, Microbiology, Molecular Oncology and Gynecology. Our main theme of research is in the field of Infectious Arthritis, Tick-borne Diseases, Mycology, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).

MDL is looking for a team-oriented Network Administrator reporting to the Director of Information Technology. Candidate should have 4-6 years experience, able to work independently and manage multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining an appropriate attitude and composure. Candidate should be flexible and ready to handle a variety of technical needs of our company and willing to assist non-technical employees.

Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for managing, maintaining, upgrading and troubleshooting LAN/VLAN/WAN environment that contains a variety of servers and desktops including Windows 2003/2008, Windows XP and OS X.
• Manage and maintain Exchange and Active Directory servers
• Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining secure backups for file servers and databases using a variety of backup software and techniques
• Configuring communication switches and network wiring, network configurations, VLAN configurations and planning network installations
• Establishing site to site VPN connections via Cisco Pix router
• Installing and configuring Firewalls, spam filters and virus control   programs;
• Knowledge with DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Norton Ghost
• Responsible for network security

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• MSCE certification
• 4-6 years network administration experience.
• Experience with Cisco Routers,  switches and VPN
• Experience with Symantec Backup Exec
• Experience with IIS and DNS
• Some SQL experience needed
• Server Virtualization and comdial phone system experience is a plus.
