Medical Diagnostic Laboratories, L.L.C. (MDL) is a CLIA certified clinical laboratory with multiple state licensing, specializing in state of the art, automated DNA based molecular analysis of a variety of chronic and infectious illnesses. MDL specializes and performs Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) with a larger menu of testing available in the field of infectious disease. Our main theme of research is in the field of Gynecology, Infectious Diseases, Vector-borne Diseases, Mycology, Urology, Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Cancer Diagnostics and Pharmacogenomics.

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories, L.L.C. (MDL) is looking for a motivated individual to work as a Research Scientist in our Research and Development Department.  This scientist will participate in a multi-discipline team focusing on antimicrobial resistance of Trichomonas vaginalis as well as novel bacterial and fungal organism.

Job Description:

• Routine tasks include performing experiments, data analysis and report generation using diverse procedures and laboratory equipment
• Proper and detailed recording of the procedures used and data collected
• Preparation of reagents and preparation and handling of biological samples
• Routine participation in meetings and scientific journal article discussions is also expected

Qualifications :

• Ph.D. in Biology or related science field required.
• 1 to 3 years experience in Microbiology or Molecular Biology.
• Experience including but not limited to antimicrobial susceptibility testing, DNA (PFGE), gene expression by RNA (qRT_PCR), and protein analysis (western), and biochemistry (redox) is strongly preferred.
