Jason Trama, Ph.D. - Division Head
 
    • Ph.D. Graduate of the Biomedical Sciences Program at the University of California, San Diego. Studied transcriptional regulation of T-cell activation and differentiation.
    • Post-doctoral work at The National Cancer Institute/National Institutes of Health studying caspase activation in cancer cells and transcriptional regulation of apoptotic factors.
    • Member of the American Association of Immunologists and the American Society of Microbiology.
    • Extensive experience with molecular, cellular, and immunological procedures.
    Currently investigating pathogen recognition and mucosal immunity.

Erika K. Libby, B.S.

Spencer Hedges, Ph.D.
 
  • Doctor of Medical Sciences from Lund University, Sweden Thesis: “Mechanisms of cytokine production in the human urinary tract: the role of epithelial cells in the mucosal cytokine response”
  • Research experience in cytokine and immune responses to urinary and genital tract pathogens including E. coli, N. gonorrhoeae, T. vaginalis, C. trachomatis, and the organisms associated with bacterial vaginosis.
  • Currently investigating the role of fastidious vaginal microorganisms (such as A. vaginae) in the pathogenesis and the potential sequelae of bacterial vaginosis.
